Sometimes life requires ice cream. I’m not sure which moment in life doesn’t require ice cream, but in my case I’m always down for the sweet treat. As a child, ice cream was pretty much the only way to get my attention. And DFW has a new artisan ice cream shop, Melt Ice Creams, which resides in Fort Worth.
Just in time for warmer weather, I checked out Melt, and I was instantly hooked. Melt has a seasonal menu, so their ice cream choices rotate in each season. All of their ingredients are sourced locally, from farmers to small local Texas shops. I was impressed by their choices, I don’t like to bargain with my ice cream, but Melt was a pleasant surprise.
Everything from the choices to the decor is vibrant and bright. The ice cream parlor is cozy and bright, as bright as their signature yellow wall. It instantly perks you up, and that’s just what ice cream is for! The staff is friendly and I think this will be an instant summer hang out. So if you’re looking for a new ice cream parlor to try out I would definitely recommend Melt, you definitely can’t go wrong with their flavors.
