As a student, we all know most of our late nights consist of studying, netflix, eating, and cramming for that 8 AM test. I am no stranger to dark circles under my eyes, and pretty much for the past four years of college I was rocking some serious owl eyes. (What can I say, Science majors have it rough!) Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate, and Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Eye have become my holy grail products, and essential to my night – time routine. Both of these together helped me say bye bye to those dark circles, and a BIG HELLO to healthy, glowing, and rejuvenated skin in the morning.
The Midnight Recovery Concentrate is a facial oil, and while some may be frightened to put on oil on their face before bed, I assure you, you only need 4-5 drops in your palm to make a difference. I’ve been using both products for the past year, and I honestly can’t rave enough about them. Not only do I not have dark circles (Hooray!) I also have glowing and healthier skin, which I credit to this incredible duo. The night time oil elixir is 98% naturally derived AND paraben free, which makes for the comfortable application. The elixir works with the body’s natural nocturnal schedule and works as you sleep, to replenish, regenerate, and repair your skin for a smoother and healthier skin.
The Recovery oil elixir is also infused with lavender, which has a calming and relaxing effect. I honestly feel it also helps with my sleep cycle, and helps me fall asleep faster. You just need 4-5 drops and then massage it gently on to your face, you’ll spot the difference almost immediately. I’ve been complimented on my skin so often, and I always say it starts with good skincare, the elixir is liquid gold for your skin. And while it’s not as expensive as liquid gold, a good size can set you back a little. I would recommend the 1.0 fl oz which is about $46.00 dollars, and it has lasted me an entire year.
The Midnight Recovery Eye works the same way, simply pat some in to your under eye area, and I think I saw results in as little as a week. In under a week my dark circles had disappeared, which was astonishing, since I had collected them in over four years! Not only that, it diminishes fine lines and strengthens the under-eye skin. I love that it is so easy to use and has no parabens, fragrance, mineral oils or silicones. The eye cream also reduces swelling and puffiness around the eye and usually retails for $36.00 dollars .
I refuse to leave the house or travel with out these two stowed away on my carry on. It has not only diminished my dark circle dilemma, it’s helped my skin become healthier. Try these two out in your night time routine and let me know what you think! You can find them in the beauty section in Nordstrom, or they are available on the Kiehl’s website as well.
